    Project orca modified brake booster?

Is anyone using the project orca modified brake booster? Is it worth the money over an IX booster? Here's a link- it's $250

mtriple is using 1. it works fine but just get yourself an e21 booster and make one. i just laid my e30 on next to an e21 and measured the difference in length. take that amount out of the e21 rod and weld it. done. ive never needed more boost in any application. track or street. i hate zionsville

I work in Zionsville, IN. Just south of Zionsville Autosport actually ;) I have only had one experience with them, but it was good.

Probably because they charge you $250 for an E21 booster with the shaft cut down, which is exactly what blunt did in 10 minutes in his garage. $160 booster + 10 minutes /= $250 booster.

Shit, we paid $35 at a local U-Pull-It and made our own in 30 minutes.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

Well I was trying to be fair and compare new to new, and I could assume blunt used a new part given the rest of his swap.

Either way they had a market when the info was privledged but now that its all public knowledge you can go doubling the price of a part for a simple modification and get away with it. Then again, Id buy into their steering swap kit if I could get it minus a friggin used rack.

another point why i hate zionsville. there was a time not too long ago the info to do the steering rack swap was available on their site as a tech tip. i remember seeing that and thinking that was great pr. then next thing i know its offered as a cd for who knows how much. i dont recall what they were charging. if i were running zionsville id offer it up as free info and also offer the completed knuckle for sale for those who dont have the ability to fabricate.
