    need hlp with 2 things

    so i have e28 mounts but with them i don't have room to fit any exhaust with my stock exhaust m50 manies..

    do i need to change the exhaust manifolds or what.. or do i have the wrong e28 mounts.

    What do your mounts look like and you usually have to get custom downpipes made no matter what.

      You need to modify the downpipes or go custom.

        i don't have the green ones or the m5 ones.. i have the 528-535(1986) ones.

        ya im not worried about that i have a welder and some basic skills... so that shouldn't be a prob.

        but i did some searching and found you need to shim the mounts some to make the downpipes clear the front sub.

          you can shim but chances are you will need to modify/create new downpipes.
          '87 325ic, powered by S50.

            anyone have pics of their modifications? planning on getting some m50 mani's and midpipe sections and welding up an exhaust this weekend.

              One washer between the M5 green mount and E36 motor mount did it for me, but its damn close both on the subframe side and passenger foot well, I can hardly push a saw blade in between.
              I have what seem to be supersprint kopi headers.
