        Okay-
There have been a few questions about selling my old engine etc. etc....

I'll sell it as soon as I get a new engine at least coming on its way.

What is included with the engine of course will vary depending on what comes with my engine.

If I opt for the 2.5l I'll get one from an e34, so your engine will come with the oil pan, but will be lacking the e36 mounting arms. It'll probably come with intake manifold and all that crap.

If I opt for the 2.8, it'll be minus oilpan/sump, you'll get the arms, and it'll be minus intake manifold as well.

As for what is wrong with the engine: its really not that bad. I taped the intake ports up before I left on my trip, water got down into the cylinder, one of the valves shows a bit of surface rust, so i'm sure there will be rust in at least one cylinder, possibly more.

Not that big of a deal- but i wouldn't feel right running my engine that way... and who knows what else made it down in there... I would love to tear it apart, but I don't have the time for that shit.

As for price- it depends on what accessories it comes with.

It could potentially be complete with wiring harness, afm, ignition coils, alternator... If you want to use an e36 tranny I have one of those as well with flywheel/ 5k mile clutch and starter. Basically you could potentially have everything you'd need besides the ecu/brake booster (unless your name is joshh)...

I dont really know what to charge-

        Offer I guess.

          the m52 gets my vote

never ridden in an e30 powered one (not a lotta m50 swaps over here!) but comparing an e36 m50 and m52 the m52 is so much better......the torque is lovely.

this is now pure speculation, but an m52 with a 2.5 intake manifold (instead of 2.0) stand-alone and maybe cams or whatever would be ~230hp at least i imagine? again just guessing....but it would be kinda fun in an e30

plus isnt the US s50 pretty much a 3L m20 with Intake n exhaust stuff (again, the inaccuracy shows)

Depends on where you want to go with the engine. If money is no object, and you just want a balls to the wall fast car, then the 3.2L obviously. If you're looking for a car with good balance, shooting for the perfect 50-50 weight distribution, then the Al block M52...then in the future you could slap on an S50 head with some custom tuning. Those are my two picks.

If you decided to sell your current M50, I may entertain the idea of buying it from you, depending on the cost. But I just saw your other thread, so i was just thoriwng it out there ;)
