    CEL Problem

Hey guys, well my M52 runs but i am still sorting out brakes, suspension, etc..

Anyways, here is the current status...

I turn the key on and the fuel pump whines and the ICV buzzes, but no CEL on the cluster

I start the car and it fires right up (I don't leave it running long, because lack of coolant hoses, etc)

When i shut the car off, the CEL comes on the cluster for 5 seconds along with the ICV still buzzing, then they both turn off after 5 seconds along with the main relay..I'm stumped

Its and obd2 m52, m50 manifold, with TRM ews delete, reflash, ditched the rear o2 sensors, and egr crap..

suggestions? My adapter has to be fine, i don't know how many more times i can check it (I used the etm)

    Thanks.

Crappy main relay? Cel should be on when key is in on position.

wow, let me try that as well, I have two extra ICV's...

I haven't got around to working on the car lately besides prepping for paint

          thanks for the suggestions

          I'll post my findings.

make sure to clean it out really good with some carburator/trottle body cleaner so the little valve in there can move freely.

              update

ICV has been cleaned and valve moves freely..(was pretty filthy)

I hooked up coolant hoses, PS lines, etc, so the car can idle..Besides being open manifold at this point, it idles strong, no hiccups...fires right up

when i disconnect the DME all together, the CEL functions properly, when key is on light goes on...

I may have to send the DME back to TRM, and have them take a look in there..something must have fried..but before i do that, I am going to get a new main relay..

              thanks for the suggestions

Well did you ever figure this out?
I have the same problem with the main relay and CEL coming ON after I turn the key off..
Anybody know what I have wired wrong?

Sorry guys, I've been away for 4 months now. She sits exactly how I left it. When I get back, I'm anxious to get that SOB running properly. Until then, if you beat me to it, let me know :)

i would think you have something wired up wrong because if you have the dme disconnected and you turn the key on and get a cel thats not right. the dme grounds a circuit to turn the light on so if it works without the dme being hooked up something else is grounding it.
