    Help diagnosing startup failure

    Hi all,

I'm close to the end of my swap, but am having trouble getting a start. It's getting spark(we did an arc block test) and that worked, and I know I'm getting fuel because if I pull the fuel lines to the rail there is fuel coming out. Here is a video for reference of what I'm experiencing.
    details:
    NV m50
original e36 harness modified by Nando
    403 ecu
    green top injectors.

    Cheers,
    Matt

Just because their is fuel in your rail does not mean that the injectors are firing....

Go pick up a set of noid-lights and see if the injectors are getting power.

more information about what you are actually using would be helpful. what harness, ECU, injectors, etc. just so r3v members can asses the problem properly.

where did you get the green tops? new/used? from listening to it, its obviously not firing, and if you have spark, its most likely fuel related in some manner, whether it be injectors, wiring, ECU, etc.

and whats with the 173 ECU? I was under the impression we have to use the 413 Red label ECU on all e30 24v swaps. Someone correct me if im wrong on this.

most infamous problem. so many threads about that problem. no spark no fuel. cehck grounds, power cables, all three relays, and wiring. if your CEL light doesnt come on when ignition is in ON position, then youre ECU is not getting any power.

Update: only injector 1(forward most on the head) is squirting. Any ideas?

Check your grounds. Most fuel injectors have a constant voltage applied, and are triggered by the ECM grounding the circuit.

you need a different ecu. you should be using a 413 red label for a 24v swap...

                              Even nonvanos needs a 413?
The 173 green label came with the swap, so it was probably outdated information for the previous owner.
