    OBD1 M52 E30 rpm Problems

    Hello everyone its Jay im new here and just wanted to say hi before i start..
    I have a 87 325e with m52 OBD1 with 95 325i trans 5speed..
    - M52 converted over to obd1
    - 21.5 pink top injectors
    - 413 red label computer
    - CAI with a 9" Cone
    - new o2 sensor obd1
    - stock chip stock tune

    Other then thats its pretty stock my problem is in 1st,2nd,3rd,4th sometime while im in the rpm from 0-5000 its fine and once it hits 5100 it like hitting a wall then if i stay on the gas it keep going then at 5800-6000 it hits the wall again then its fine like all the power is there it does that in all 4 gears and i want to know if anyone can point me in the right direction

    21# injectors on a car that runs 17# stock with a stock tune for a 2.5.

    Get a 2.8 tune for your 21# injectors. And of course the .3 difference in displacement.

      I dont get what your saying exactly..The motor is a 2.8 and the 21 are stock on this motor i thought.. So your saying that because of the 413 red label i should get a chip/tune for my set up ? Cause the 413 is for m50 2.5 right or wrong ? Cause when i plug the scanner it says

      DME M3. 3.1 M50B25

      bmw h/w no. 1703563
      bmw s/w no. 000
      product no. 462

      All this is from a Launch scanner

      If this means anything to ANYONE....

        If this means anything to ANYONE....
        The pulse width in the ECU is based on #17 injectors not #21.

        21# injects are for the M52 on the M41.1 engine management, not M3.1.1.

        Call TRM and ask them for a M52 OBD1 on 21# injectors. They will send you the tune (that you will NEED no matter what)

        Then after you have the tune start your diagnosis.

        The 2.8 VS 2.5 is a 12% difference in displacement. Add the wrong size injectors and run it on a base 2.5 tune and you may have some problems.
