i am in the process of taking the old motor out of my 86 es and found this thing next to the fuse box. it has 2 wires going to it and kinda looks like a horn. What is it and do i need to put it back im trying to keep the bay as clean as possible.

as long as the motor's out might as well tighten up those piston springs. i think blunt has them on sale if they need replacing.Comment

That's your inboard hydoofinator pump. Now that you've removed it, it can't go back in, it has to be replaced with a new one. Common engine swap mistake, but an expensive one. Blunt can get them for about $449, Levent/GPS might be able to do a little better, but probably not. We need to post something about that in the 24V swap forum.Comment
