    NEED HELP ASAP! M50 Wiring

Ok. I am angry beyond all words right now but I will try to make this easy to understand.

Old harness = e34 harness that i bought originally unmolested and rewired a MrErickT adapter to work on it.
New Harness =e36 harness converted for m50 allready
    Current DME 402, 405

So my car run just fine with the e34 (automatic) harness and a adapter for about 6 months. No issues, all functions were great.

Except that it forced me to keep the DME in the engine bay, so eventually i got a "good" deal on a e36 harness that had already been in a swap car so i bought it. Firstly this new harness was like a 35 year old hooker - trashed and molested, not only did the guy take forever to ship but he shipped me shit. But thats all besides the point.

I cleaned up this new harness - taking my time, cut apart my old adapter so i could have a nice plug on it, ect. I fallowed the same wiring scheme the adapter used, same one that peerless's uses, and it matches AKG and others. So i put in the new harness into the car, and fire her up. AT first it doesnt want to start at all on the 405 DME. So I pop in my new (Dinan Chipped) 402 and the car starts. Then i notice the 402 is getting too hot to touch. Car runs like shit.

I then spend the rest of the day trying to get it to work. The next day I put in the old harness and wired a c101 plug onto it. Same problem. I discovered that on the new harness the ground wire for the injector rail had been broken and thats what fried the DME.

    So fast forward to today:

    I currently have:
-old harness with my plug spliced on using the correct pinout
-2 x 405 DME that the car wont start on
-1 x 402DME that the car run on 3 cylinders on
    -a big headache

On the 405's the fuel injectors wont open at all - no fuel = doesnt run.
On the 402 I am running on 3 cylinders, cause there is no spark on cylinders 1,2,4.

I am about to spend even more money and get another 402 to try and solve the problem.

Any suggestions? I am about to push the car off a cliff. I mean everything fucking worked fine, and it should have kept working fine. I dont fucking understand what the hell is going on.....

Was sold to me as not. Sold as NV M50. No vanos sensor plug.

that really sucks man, sorry to hear that. I would like to offer some advice but i am not familiar with the NV motors at all. Good Luck. I'm sure you'll get the answers your looking for on here.

IMHO, i would simply get a harness that has not been "trashed and molested" as you say, and start fresh. Shitty parts just equal more shitty problems down the road.

Yes well, I bought the harness having been told its clean. It was otherwise. I ordered a 402 from a guy on here, as well as a local guy that may have a matching harness/computer for me Sunday.

Yeah try those out and see if the problem still persists. Just make sure you have all the grounds hooked up. Frying an ECU is the worst!

It's a bummer you had to go through getting crappy parts, but sometimes
That's just something we have to go through with such big projects.
