    Engine swap econo gauge functionality

A few months ago I swapped an M50 into my E30. The econometer still works, but is it accurate? Does it take its reading from throttle position or fuel pressure etc?

I've got one little economical beast if it's correct..

I have a 2.93 rear end, and cruising at 70 puts me at like 30-31 mpg. I put over 200 miles on my car yesterday and filled it up. I got 30 mpg, so I would say that its within a 1 MPG tolerance.

      You need this:

Steve is a member here and a great guy. I was fortunate to meet him here in Maryland before he moved to the Northwest. He installed an early production version of this device on my car several years ago and it still works perfectly.

I had the same symptoms as you - very optimistic MPG.

      You won't be disappointed.

...except when he sees his actual MPG.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

If it's not correct, might just swap in M3 dash with oil temp. Far more useful. Thanks guys

I don't always wreck cars, but when I do I wreck them into trees.
