What do you think of this drivetrain setup?

I'm currently running an M50 DM flywheel to a stock eta clutch to an M42 TOB and an M42 clutch slave with a G240 from an M42, and it's all worked really well..until today where I broke it.

I have access to a Getrag 260 from an E34, which I believe is a different type of 260? I think it's called the 255 or 265? Anyway if anyone can correct me on that..
Will I be able to use this with my clutch slave and tob?
the TOB is the same part number as a getrag 260
The clutch slave is a different part number from the G260. I remember mating a G260 slave to my G240 trans, the slave hyperextended and broke. The G240 one is a tad bit longer, so will this mean my clutch will engage closer to the ground?

        i think M50s came with the G250 not the 260 ...

maybe this should help to be sure what you got

        G260

        G265

        G250

Never heard of a G255 tbh. Hope it helps.

              Nope, just the 91-92 M50NV E34 had the ZF310, the 93-95 had Getrag 250.

It is a G250 definitely. Will it work with my previously stated setup?

Also keep in mind the gearing change. A G250 is a closed ratio transmission, so you won't really want anything more than a 3.46 differential. And I only go that high with 4cyl engines. 6cyl engines need a 3.25 or less.

i've heard people killed G250 with standard engines, just some spirited driving ...

not the best 6cyl gearbox from getrag ...

ok well F the G250! Will the slave from my 240 work on a G260? It's a little longer so maybe it'll leave the clutch slipping? :/
