    OBD2 swap

    I currently have a 93 e34 m50TU in my e30 chasis. Obviously its an obd1 dme setup so I am wondering if there is a way I can swap the dme and harness from and obd2 e36 m50tu and have all the connectors the same and the car start up and run as it should. Has anyone tried this or know if it can be done?

      the m50 never came as an obd2 motor. The m52 is obd2.

          By the time you went through the trouble of swapping a M50 to OBDII it would be cheaper to pull a good M52 and drop it in.
