Stock Fuel Pump

how much power can the stock e30 fuel pump support. Its a 87 325i. Im in the middle of swapping in a s50 and im wondering if i should replace the fuel pump

my friend used his stock e30 fuel pump up to 12psi on this twin turbo m52.
