Hi, I have recently purchased a 1990 325i auto that had the timing belt snap. I bought it to do an engine swap. I had also been looking into buying a wrecked e36 m3 with an s52 and a 5 speed. I need some help with finding out how to swap the engine over while using the most parts possible from the m3 and e30. The reason why I need the help is because I hear everyone saying that you should/need to convert to obd1 specs. I didn't know if the engine will run right in the e30 if I keep it obd2 or if its just preferred. Thanks in advance for any tips/advice when swapping/help. This is my first swap and Im hoping it will go well.
