    E3 M52 OEM Headers

    Quick question.. Short and sweet..

Will I have clearance issues with M52 OEM headers?

everybody says you won't, even orca seems to use stock manifolds but I had to modify mine to fit, and even then still scrapped them in favor of using stainless longtube headers

You can use the stock manifolds, but one of the down pipes will have to "persuaded" in order to clear the subframe. That's how I've got mine setup :)

You had to modify yours in which way?

I did a lot of modification, you can see pics in my 24v build thread but I:

          -removed one O2 bung
-rotated the front flange for clearance at the subframe
-added some material to bring out and drop the rear flange to mate to a modified e36 center section

honestly, it's only a few bucks more expensive to get the stainless replica headers, you gain a little raspiness because of the material thickness but they just drop in without massaging anything

e28 greenies, but it doesn't even matter because I have some hardcore shimming going on

Would the AKG mounnts slightly raise the motor compared to the E28 MOUNTS>?
