    what is this ? where does it go and do I need it ?

    can't figure out what this is under the intake and where it goes

    the engine had an auto tranny so It could have something to do with that

    That goes into the stock airbox. Not sure what to do with it in a swap.

      Its the throttle plate coolant circuit thermostat. I bypassed mine, but some people leave it.

        If you are keeping the throttle body heater, then either leave it hanging in the engine bay somewhere, or mount it in whatever airbox you are running/making.

            umm could you relay that differently. I don't understand what this is and I would really like to know for my swap, thanks.

              i think what he means is that other end of the hose plugs into the bottom of the throttle body, and its supposed to heat up the throttle body in the winter time if its too cold.


              what i dont' know, and don't care too much .. is where that sensor plugged into, ....

              i'm going to block off and plug where the hose goes into the block. and plug it on the TB also.


              edit: oh yeah , it's mentioned above that the sensor plugs into the airbox. that makes sense.
