yea i dont like the way that looks. i only put 2 washers on the passenger side of mine. none on the driver side. and nothing is touching on my motor. i would not be crackin into that throttle with that mount torqued like that

I believe it's e28 m5 mounts that you want, not standard e28. For reference I'm using the rev-shift blue swap mounts and I needed a thick spacer on each side to clear the booster and the exhaust to frame rail.

Yeah, it's not a big deal to your driveline. I've run a healthy amount of spacers, and my driveshaft has been fine for the past 32,000 miles.

^Good to hear :).. Like I said, no abnormal shakes are noticed and it feels stable enough to drive so idk. Plus, I don't see 2 washers doing much difference anyway. Even with the washers I have now, I still have to do some hammering to fit the exhaust so i can just imagine 2..

Your mounts have collapsed. (prob from using crazy washers)

The use of E28 mounts is not an "engineered" solution. They are merely an inexpensive way to install an engine. They will collapse with or without spacers. I filled mine with urethane to avoid the inevitable "squish".

If anything I'll just take out like 2 washers on the driver side to give a little slack. A new motor mount is $25ish so im not too concerned.
