Idle issue

First off I tried searching....

My M52 - OBD1 converted car has been running great for the last 3 years & now on occasion the idle has been acting up. It will rev up to 2.5K- 3.5K and will keep on and on as if I'm making this happen by pushing the gas peddle. My thoughts are ICV. I've changed my TPS with a known working one.

All help is appreciated. I feel like a douche sitting at a red light while other drivers look at me with a wildly r3ving vehicle.

Yeah try cleaning out your ICV and take a look at the MAF sensor as well as a first step towards troubleshooting.

I also had erratic idling related to a dieing fuel pump but it was with an M20 and was not that drastic. Would also have trouble starting after being warmed up on occasion tho.
