M50 into 318is driveshaft questions?

I am in the process of swapping a m50 into my 91 318is and. Ive read tht I need the e36 325i driveshaft is it the whole driveshaft or just the first half? and would a 323i e36 driveshaft work if I use both pieces? It's the last thing I need to get my car driving and having troubles understanding what I need I'm using my getrag 240 transmission.

I don't know about the 323 but the e36 325 is what you need. And you need the whole drive shaft!!! You also have to swap out the CSB to be e30 specific.
Just completed mine and Its running fine. you also need to change the selector rod and assembly to m20 specific. The shifter will be slightly forward do to the the way the engine sits but I solved that with a z4 shifter. I am happy with the turnout!!

Ok sweet thanks I matched up the 323 with a 325 e30 one seemedto be close and the 323 driveshaft is the same size as the 325 e36 I'll give it a try I can always bring it back if I have too. I can get it cheep too it will keep my swap under 600 :)
