    E36 M50 4cyl tach help

    Hello

    I have a E36 M50B25tu 1/1995 and i got questions

The cluster is of a 318 , and the rpms show 66% more than they really are. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dAUjR2P5Hg )

Can i flash , or mod something on the tachometer , so i can get the real rpms ?

If there is no way of fixing that , can i get a E36 M3 cluster ? just unplug the 318 and get the M3 in ? "plug and play" ?

-Is my car OBD1 ? , i've seen the 20pin obd near the exaust , but i think that there is no obd2 port near the "gong" , i can access almost all features of the car , ( DME 3.1 ) , but i cant get live data .

    Thank You

you just need 6 cylinder coding plug for the instrument cluster.

what year is your 318 ?

I have never ripped into an e36 so I can't really say if it works or.not
If it has a coding plug then most likely will work just switching out your 318 to a 325 plug.
