    VSS...seriously.

Alright. I have searched, got a few links bookmarked but have not found exactly what to do. I have the soft 'rev' limit around 3500-4k, in each gear. First will sometimes go beyond it, but each after it sputters and will slowly go beyond. I have an 86es with m50TU out of a 95 525i. I put brand new plugs, fuel pumps, injectors clean, new fuel filter, good spark, new 02 sensor, all of that. I have not yet wired the diagnostic port and vss, so that is what I think it is. I've read so many different ways of wiring it; green connector on back of cluster, running a wire to DME. Does anyone have pictures or a step by step kinda thing for this? I know about the three prong plug in the glove box, but I don't have that plugged into anything?
I know these noob questions are annoying, but I can never find a thread with a answer to what fixes a problem, or I just overlook it...
