ive looked but have found no exact answer, i have a block to run the brown sensor between the throttle body coolant lines for the dash gauge... but do i need an extra sensor in the head to run to the DME? does the DME need a coolant temp signal to run?

There are two sensors. I had the same "block" that you did, but found it always read a little cooler than what the motor was. Markert swapped it out for one of his converted sensors (To run OBD-1 in an OBD-2 block) and it appears to be more accurate. Do that."Broke into the wrong God damn rec room, didn't ya you bastard!"
