    Dual Electric fan setup

ok, Its finally time to ditch the engine driven POS fan, and the stock electric aux fan. not quite getting enough cooling power out of the fans during HOT (112+ degree days) with the AC on. I slowly start to creep up both during idle and during higher speed runs (70+). decided to go with a 2400cfm Spal 30102048 in pusher paired with a 1200 cfm Spal 30100400 pulling.

Is this setup likely overkill with an M50 and full AC?

My intentions are to wire the big fucker through the existing high speed wiring, and the smaller fan through the low speed circuitry. I have already gone single speed on the existing aux electrical fan, so will only be running single speed for both the fans, with a staged kick on temp (based off the thermo switch and the AC demand)
I saved 15% on my Bimmer parts by switching to ...

    In AZ? No.

The thermostat should take care of its temp fluctuations.

I would do my setup this way if I had to deal with 110+F.

However the bay gets maybbbbe 85/90.

the small puller won't do much when the big one kicks in. i would make the big pusher a dual speed using the stock resistor. that's what i did with mine. if the big spal fits behind the radiator as a puller, put it there and make a shroud for it. i think this would give you the best cooling.

BTW 110+F means that the outside air is a 110+F. you add the heat from the radiator and what the engine block and headers radiate and that's how hot the engine bay is. in traffic it can easily reach 140-150F or more IMHO.
