Addiss, did you not also bend the shift carrier? or do you not have to?

Also, wouldn't adding 5lbs of lead to your selector rod have a negative effect by making it harder to get into each gear. From what i understand, you want the weight above the fulcrum, not below... maybe not though.?

You obviously haven't heard of the weighted selecting rod by rogue engineering.

It makes it so rediculously easy to shift gears, its not even funny.

You dont need to bend the carrier, its geometry is fine. All-be-it off 10 degrees, but it doesnt get in the way of you shifting into Reverse or Fifth.

Go get a spool of thick soldering wire, wrap it around your selector rod, and tape over it. If you dont like the way it feels, take it off. You wont take it off...

I'm in the middle of my swap right now and I'm trying to use my 240. It bolted right up and it looks like the drive shaft will work to, but I'm not sure. The clutch might be an issue to, it doesn't look as strong as the 260's clutch.

it looks like www.specclutch.com makes a clutch for the 318. I'd go that route. If you're running an s50, there is no way the stock clutch will last more than 10k miles.
