    E46 swap?

If you recall, I posted earlier as someone looking for a turnkey E30 w/ swap project.

However, I just found out about a 2001 325 (E46, correct?) w/ 11K miles (less starter and alternator). The salvage yard is asking $2500 but I think I can bring it down a bit.
Remember, this is PR and parts are very $$$, so understand the price.

    Can it be done?
    Thanks,
    Chris

Stick with what is easily done. M50/2 and S50/2 are well documented and very easy.

M54/S54 are not. You cannot afford either.

      Roger that....
Well, my search continues then. The only other engine I've seen for sale here is a '88 535is (parts car) w/ 70k miles. That's a S38???).

If that doesn't work or is not feasible, then I'll continue looking for a turn key project in the States and ship it down.
      Thanks Jordan for the advice.
      Chris

      Edit: M30, not S38, right?

uuummmm.... m50s are cheap. just buy one if thats the swap you want to do- $2500 for a 2.5l is rediculous (unless of course were talking about an s14...)

          $600 for a 2.5 m50, 1200 for a 2.8, 2500-3000 for a 3.0, 3000-4500 for a 3.2
