no fuel after injector/MAF chip swap

    Details: OBD-1 s52

I was previously running an OTS TMS chip for my s52. I just went outside and swapped injectors, my TMS for a TRM chip and went to a 540 MAF. prior to the install I pulled the fuel relay (0 332 019 456) and turned the car over to relieve pressure. it stumbled for a few seconds and then died out. I then swapped the injectors. A good amount of pressurized fuel was still in the rail but the install went smoothly. They are all seated in the manifold and each injector is clipped into the harness. When I went to turn the car over, no fuel at all. It sounds like the fuel pump is not priming. The chip is correctly oriented and I have no codes. I'm lost

forgot to mention running a 413 DME correctly clipped into the harness (I see a check engine light when I turn the key). Fuses also appear fine but I'll check tomorrow when there is more light

I planned on going for an epic beat cruise once my 3.5" MAF/Intake/TRM chip and 3.46 diff was installed. Now I just want to get it running again.

I switched the chip back to my tms and the fuel pump still doesn't prime. I noticed that my tms chip (4131 3400) has ews delete. I'm running a red label 413 (at least the cover is). Could it be a ews issue? I can hear the relays clicking and put in new fuses but the pump doesn't want to prime.

I think ALL 413 red label DMEs do not have EWS. Some 413 silver labels do and some do not IIRC. Unless someone switched your lid, you shouldn't have EWS. That siad, it shouldn't matter since it ran before and now it doesn't.

is there anyway to tell if your DME is fried? Would a fried ECU cause the fuel pump to not prime? its a new fuel pump BTW and has worked fine for the past 5k miles.

If anyone in Savannah is willing to take I look I can throw some cash for the help. Especially if you have a spare 413 DME

I jumped pin 30 and 87 of the fuel relay. I heard a "whooshing" sound in the fuel rail like either air or fuel but the fuel pump did not turn on. I tried cranking over and not even a stumble. this was both with the key in the on position and key out.

update: I HAVE fuel. Fuel pump is jumpable from the relay, there is fuel in the rail, and I can feel pressure in the line when it is cranking.

Solution!! the 21.5's were from a motor with 38k miles but I guess they sat too long. cranked with the rail aimed at some towels and nothing came out. switched injectors back to the old and got it to start and idle for 10 seconds. Anyone have working 21.5's local to Savannah? needed ASAP
