Heater core removed - Where to find a hose that fits right?

    I've got an '89 325i with an m50 swap.

Its primairly a track car so I've removed the heater core and no longer have hot coolant going into the cabin. All that is needed is a hose from the tank to the back of the water pump. You still need to route it back and then up in a "U" shape becuase the air intake / alternator gets in the way. Right now I have two plugs in the heater hose and don't feel good about that solution.

I measured the both ends, tank and the back of the water pump, an its about 25mm or ~1in. Unfortunately the heater hose availabe at NAPA kinks when you try to bend it the way that the original formed hoses used to run. I am also having trouble finding 1in 90 or 45 barbed bends.

Let me know if that's not explained clearly.

    What is everyone using?

Take a stiff length of wire, and bend it to the shape and length hose you need. Then just head to the auto parts store, and ask them if they'll let you browse their pre-formed hose selection until you find one that will work. Most places will let you.

I used the stock hoses and connected them together with a pcv "L" shape piping.

Good temporary solution, but the less junctions and joints you have, the less tendency you have toward leaks.

Plugging the hoses is the correct solution, if you loop them your allowing hot coolant which hasn't past through the radiator to be pumped back into the engine

I was told that was the right way to do it when I first started doing my swap. I haven't had any problems with cooling/overheating since.
