It is quite clear that your issue is with the modified E30 carrier and selector rod, not the flex disc. The swap disc is designed to work with the stock e36 linkage. We cant guarantee fitment with custom modified parts for obvious reasons. As I just said in the email reply that you just received, we will work with you to help correct the issue, even if the issue is not with our part.

Do you have a short shifter? You probably need to bend the selector rod.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

I didn't get said email reply. The modified carrier and selector rod are identical to that of an E36... The only thing different is my E30 Momo short shifter...

EDIT: Email was in Spam filter... :/ Will be talking via email.

Yeah, running short shifter off my E30. I don't like the idea of bending my selector rod as it may getting into gears tricky.

          Reason for issue:

E30 shift lever is LONG from the large ball to the selector rod, about 1.6" I'd estimate. The E36/E39 ZF lever is only 1". This difference changes the angle of the rod and therefore clears the adapter by only about 1/8" in 2nd gear.

Going to stick with this till I buy a ssk and a dssr and an actual E36 shift carrier... Not looking forward to removing the bitch clip again, haha.

I'd suggest putting that it is required to run a certain shifter on the product description, would have saved this from ever being posted.
