Fellow r3v'er that was verrry local had a mishap in our in frequent snows that shut down the town. Had a nice swaped car but the body was too far gone and he had plans for his now m30 swaped car. I bought up the plug in play drive train from him before the shell headed to the yard. Good find and deal.

Never heard of this before. That is a great website thanks a lot for this. I've been looking for an engine and haven't found what I want yet but this is great.

Craigslist for me; purchased an entire wrecked E36 M3. That's the best way to do it if you have the space/time to part out the rest of the car. I ended up making money on it.

Bought many an engine from various sources. Really don't understand the point of the survey. I have bought 3 S50's from Salvage Yards, 2 S52's from people I know, a S14 from Craigslist, a M52 from another forum.

The point is to see where are the most common places people are finding their engines. What's the point of any survey?

I've been looking for an engine on just about all the possible places to look. S52's still seem to be very expensive.:(

A lithoianian guy out in the boon docks of michigan. He had some amazing cars tho: e21 with s38, e21 with some factory turbo'd euro BMW motor, two 8 series, e36 race car. A few built m30s and a bunch of euro dog leg gear boxes. Pissed i never took any pictures.

I think he's still around on bimmerforums under "Charbel"

                              Edit: found his photobucket, enjoy.
