    What driveshaft with g250?

Figured I should post this here instead of in transmission cause most people who used the g250 would also have a m50. What driveshaft should I use? I have the auto e30 325is driveshaft and an e36 325i manual driveshaft. Does the e36 one just bolt up or do I have to get some type of frankenshaft made? Any other problems with running the g250 on an e30?

Yes. The E36 driveshaft bolts right up. There should not be any problems running a G250 on an E30. It's not the most robust transmission, but it's pretty decent.

As Fred mentioned, they like to pop out of gear when thrashed upon.

Use the manual e36 shaft, that's what I'm using. Just need an e30 csb installed backwards.

Yup. Depends on whether you have an early or late car.

What preventive maintenance I can do on a G250 before it goes in (other that the seals; throw bearing etc) Do I need to do any of the solenoids?
