Hey r3ver's, not too long ago I did the m50b25TU motor swap into my e30 chasis (keep the getrag 260). I'm now looking for more power and am looking into the s52 swap but I am wondering what other modifcations will need to be performed to do this swap? I currently have headers for the m50 and as far as I know they will bolt onto the s52 but I am wondering if I use the zf manual trans that comes with the s52....am I able to use the factory e30 driveshaft or do I have to find one from an e36? Any info will help thank!

all the parts from your M50 swap will bolt up to S52, no problem. -
If you use the ZF trans, the only E30 DS that works is from a 5/86+ 325e. Otherwise you need an E36 driveshaft (not the 6 bolt CV style from the early E36 M3).Comment
