There is no time crunch. Honestly I don't see the motor going in the car till next summer some time.

Disapointed in UUC though. They are quick to tell you anything you want to hear, but don't follow through. I'm just going to head over to bavauto and see what they have kicking around. Done dicking around with UUC.

I re-used the bolts, but if I wasn't in a time crunch I would have gotten new hardware. Sourcing from a local nut&bolt house should be no problem as long as you get a high strength bolt

Curious -- why do you say that? Mine have only been on a while but may come off and I was thinking of re-using

Well... afte a month and multiple e-mails, I guess I'm on my own. No response from Arjun. Was a nice guy to talk to but apparently too busy to help a cutomer. Maybe I should just follow the rest of the interwebz and get another flywheel.

I just talked to Arjun (the CEO) of UUC yesterday at the bavauto show. He told me that they sell them as a complete set with the gaul plate to cover their ass. He told me they are stretch bolts and will get me the part numbers when he gets back to work. I'll let you guys know when I get it.

These are a specific bolt, not available as a generic from McMaster. It's an alternate genuine BMW part, perfect length and strength rating. We're not marking these up significantly, I assure you!

The gall plate itself is a laser-cut piece that we make; not something you can buy off-the-shelf.

started a topic UUC Flywheel bolts

    UUC Flywheel bolts

I just looked at their website and they want $100 for the bolts and gaul plate. Can I get these anywhere else? That seems quite steep for flywheel bolts IMO
Working...
