My friend is doing an M50 swap that came out of a 5-series. Its pretty nice since it already has the oil pan needed for the E30. (This is a "just for now motor" to get the conversion done... Later the S50 will come.) The only problem is that it is non-vanos so thats where the question comes. Would the wiring be completely different than the wiring of an M50 motor w/Vanos? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Vanos wiring harness will have the wire/plug that goes to the vanos unit.

The wiring isn't hard at all, and he shouldn't care what anybody thinks. Tell your friend to grow some balls, and stick with it.Comment
