Need new MAF, get stock or the 3.5 inch MAF??

The MAF on the S50 engine i will be dropping needs to be replaced... DO i get a stock S50 one or is it better to just get the 3.5 inch MAF and S52 injectors? Is there any dyno proven power gains at all in getting the larger MAF and injectors? My car is not my daily and will be a weekend/fun car. Thanks

The S50 MAF and injectors can provide more than enough air and fuel for the S50 (i.e. the MAF is not the choke point in the system). No point in getting a bigger one IMO.

Regular one if you're logical. 3.5" if you like spending money.

        ^This.
        3.5 is typically pointless.

ya if you get a 3.5 you will need a tune also or your motor will run like garbage.

Hmm I've read so much mixed reviews about this, some people say CAI 3.5 maf and tune bumped them up from 212whp to 230whp. Others say its pointless... On my S50 so far i will have headers, high flow magnaflow cat, 2.5 exhaust piping, CAI and a chip from Europe with EWS ddelete and tune...

the throttle body is way smaller than 3.5", in fact its even smaller than the stock 3" maf so you'd need a big bore throttle body to even make the stock maf a restriction in the intake system.

The people who say they got those kind of numbers are probably just sad that they wasted 500 bucks on a maf and tune that does nothing.
