Please help 24v with auto gearbox

Hi Fellow Fanatics,

I am in trouble and I need help from experts. I would like to swap the old good m20b25 and replace it with M52B28. My problem is that I need auto gearbox to drive the car. Does somebody experience about the wiring and everything else what needed to do this swap?

I'd appreciate any assistance.

I have thought about it. Basically you need a donor car to make it easy and the automatic tranny's computer/harness.

I did this swap. I don't know what E36s you got in Hungary, but I used everything from 1994 325i with GM 4L30 4 speed transmission. You get complete harness from the car, you will only need to wire like 5 wires total for the auto transmission. Driver's side tunnel will have to be widened just a bit with a mallet or hammer for the linkage to clear.

Once you have all the wiring there uncut from donor E36 car, you will see what wires you need to wire, it is not hard at all.
