    Late S52 temperature sensor question

Late S52 with one temp sensor. Want to use the E30 temp sensor. Obviously it's 2mm bigger than the existing hole. The motor is complete, so I am a little nervous about running a tap on it. Should I tap the head or rethread the temp switch. I'm leaning towards tapping the head but i'm not 100%.

So R3v, what do you suggest I do?

    Re-thread the sender.
    12mmx1, iirc.

              This^

That way if you mess up on the threading it's only a $15 part as opposed to the head. Also if you ever decided to sell the S52 the sender hole isn't oversized for a potential buyer who isn't swapping it etc.
