Anyone increase rates /sizes? What combo's of F/R spring/sway bars are being used for the added front end wt to balance handling. Thanks

I have H&R Race and having gone from a 4 cyl. to an M50 I feel as though I could use a bit more front spring rate to bring back the balance and handling the car had before, however I think a larger front swaybar would help induce turn in that I miss from the lighter, farther set back engine; I may be completely wrong, though. For all things 24v, check out Markert Motorworks!Originally posted by mbonanniI hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.

Definitely increase front camber. I used some fixed camber plates to increase camber another .75 degrees in the front on each side, and it definitely removed the understeering nature of the car. The tires do not wear unevenly or anything weird like that, with a mild camber increase.

I will agree with potentially adding a strut bar (they're pretty cheap too for a Sparco or IE bar) as it gives the car a bit of a sharper feeling. My other suggestion would be to possibly bump up the spring rates in front from 440 lb to 500 lb or so. As for the rear I'm not sure if you should bump up the rear rates as you're pushing the limits of off the shelf Konis as you have 650 lbs, and if I'm not mistaken they're only good until 700 lb or so (perhaps the experts could chime in). More importantly connect your rear sway bar!
