    Starter wiring problem need help fast

    im trying to put my e30 starter on my s50 with the e30 tranny and im not sure how to wire it. the e36 has 3 conections on the starter and the e30 only has 2. Where do i put the three wires. Please if someone could hepl me

    youve got me stumped. m20 starters usually have (3) wires bolted to them....small, medium and large. some earlier eta starters had (1) red wire bolted and (2) small / medium wires w/ electrical connectors.

    look on the back of the starter, the terminal numbers should be stamped on there. what terminal are you missing???? 30h (blk/grn wire gives signal to k7) or 50 (blk/ylw comes from ignition)?

      One of the posts should have a wire going from it to the solenoide, put the black/yellow wire there, put the battery and the black/green wire on the other side.

      You might want to first try putting the black/yellow and the black/green wires on the same terminal, try cranking (ecu unplugged) to make sure the engine is turning over. Then, while the ignition is still on, see if your windows work. If your windows dont work, you'll want to put that black/green wire on the same terminal as your battery, your windows should work after that.
