    What flywheel should I run??..

    89 E30
93 325is (i know this is dual mass)

..are they both dual mass ?

my trans makes alot of gear rattle making me think theres no dual mass in there.

basically whats the best flywheel and clutch setup to run? I have both.. but the E36 starter is no good

89 E30 would have to be a M20B25 car. They have a single mass flywheel which many people run with 24v swaps.

With the e30 flywheel you need to get the engine side machined down.
I took mine down to 1/16" above the ring gear, this way it will mate to the m50, work with a g260, and it will be a bit lighter.

Are the clutches basically the same between both setups? And is it possible to use the m5 (e28) clutch on the m20 flywheel? I'd like to find a low budget stronger clutch option

Why dont you just run the entire g260? you literally will bolt up the same flywheel clutch and pressure plate. using the same tob and fork.

dont know about your higher HP option.

im pretty certain you can have the 260 flywheel shaved down to about 13lbs, as apposed to the stock 17lbs, might be off a pound or so(someone correct me) stock m20 clutch is more then enough to handle the power. im doing a s50 now and running all stock 260 stuff flywheel back

Ive had my stock clutch slip on me (granted when screwing around.. rolling down a hill then dumping the clutch in a burnout attempt).. sometimes it seems like its a tad weak.. its not worn out either

I'm using a south bend stage 3 clutch with the stock s52 dual mass flywheel ad I love it! Not sure what your end goal is for HP but I would recommend this for anything over 250 I guess.

I grabbed an f1 racing stage 3 clutch off ebay. Its noted that it should work with both m50 and m20 depending what transmission and pilot bearing combination you want. If you want more horsepower out of it, id go with the ZF. Would probably be the best in the long run, but you wouldnt be able to use your stock e30 driveshaft.
