I recently ordered some AKG swap mounts, and thought it would be a good time to add the passenger side heat shield, since I've never had one. Is there any reason I should avoid the OEM one other than the cost? Also, I think I'm supposed to get the e36 one, but wasn't completely sure. This is for an S50 if that makes any difference. I'm not really sure how to fabricate one without having one as a reference, and the only pictures I can find are the diagrams from realoem. Any advice would be appreciated.
