m52 swap took a turn for the worst...

so basically my car got stolen a while back. it's a 91 with an m52 obd1 swap fuckers off roaded it and basically fucked everything from the inside out. knifed up my seats, smacked the frame from off roading, and put some pretty nasty dents and yada yada yada. but i had to cut off my exhaust because they kinked it up and i just finished putting a new one on. i have been trying to diagnose everything that's gone wrong with it. i've been getting an o2 code and it runs super rich. i had to splice in the male pigtail side to the harness so i thought i might have spliced it in wrong and mixed up wires or something. so when i scanned it the other day it threw 1 2 and 3 cylinder coil pack codes, o2, purge control valve, lambda #1, speed sensor, and a few more that aren't very relevant to the situation. so i cleared all codes, switched coil packs 1-3 with 4-6 to see if the 4-6 codes would come up with those coil packs, and gave it a nice test drive today and cruised around for a while. i came up with no coil pack codes but same 02 codes and stuff. so i unplugged the o2 to see if it was even reading anything. but when i turned my engine over it sounded like just absolute shit. sounded like it was running on only like 2 or 3 cylinders. so i shut it off and plugged o2 back in. no change in how it ran. it keeps trying to die at idle. has a very low idle but kicks itself back up to like 6 or 700 for a sec and tries to die again. i tried to back it out of my garage and once the clutch starts catching it just dies completely. so i changed the spark plugs with a set i had planned for later and still no change. are all 6 of my coil packs just dead? does it matter if i was using the 0bd2 and not the obd1? is my engine just fucked now? timing get messed up? i'm just lost right now. really worried my engine is trashed. any help would be awesome...

Hmm... I'd recommend typing your questions so they are actually readable. (proper sentences and paragraphs, not just a wall of text.)

Here other readers, I retyped his shit.

So basically, my car was stolen a while ago. It is a 1991 E30 with an M52 (swapped to OBD1). The car was severely damaged, but I've been trying to diagnose everything that has gone wrong with it.

First it has been showing an O2 sensor code, while it runs super rich. I had to splice the O2 wires together (rather than just plug it in) and I feel that I may have wired it wrong, perhaps switching up the wires.

I scanned it the other day and it threw the following errors:
    1, 2, 3 cylinder coil packs
    O2 Sensor
    Purge Control Valve
    Lamba #1
    Speed Sensor
Others as well that I don't feel are relevant

So I cleared all codes, switched coil packs 1 with 3 and 4 with 6, and then gave it a good test drive. When I came back it had no coil pack codes, but the same O2 Sensor and the rest.

To check the O2 Sensor, I unplugged it. This caused the car to run very rough, sounding like it was running on only 2-3 cylinders. Now I have plugged the O2 sensor back in, but it STILL runs very rough and tries to die at idle.

I put it back into the garage, and changed out the spark plugs with some I had here and planned for later. (no change)

Are all my coil packs just dead? Does it matter if I am using OBD1 vs. OBD2? I'm really worried my engine is trashed!

As for my answers, I would recommend checking your idle control valve. There is a rubber hose under the manifold that connects from the ICV to the underside of the manifold. It has been known to pop off, and cause horrible idle conditions.

After that, I'd check your grounds and any large vacuum leaks. You can try googling the specs to test your coil packs. If worst comes to worst, I have some here that I know are good that you could have for cheapie cheapie.

Start looking for any leaks, intake, vacuum or exhaust. You said the exhaust got fuckulated. If there is any air leaking in and being read by the sensor its going to run poorly.

Alright I'll look into everything today. I'll shoot a video too if nothing fixes it

Also, find the fuckers and cut their fingers off. Thieves who steal from individuals in particular are the lowest form of human scum.

Sounds like an intake related issue. Check to see if the ICV boot fell off or cracked. Check all the wiring from the maf and back.

I forgot to plug my maf sensor in once, it had similar problems. Rough idle and would die out if I tried to move the car. Check your maf

There is a little part that is supposed to keep it clipped in. Mine is broken off, so it got a bit of silicon to hold it in and seal it.
