OBD1 auto harness question

I have an M52 converted to OBD1... I'm using an Auto E36 OBD1 harness that I'm modifying to work with my car. I've removed all associated wires for the EGS computer and saw that I need to modify one pin on the DME connector, due to the auto harness?

The best I've got is that pin #26 on the EGS needs power from pin #65 on the DME.

Should I just supply any fused 12v source to pin#65 on the DME?

you say pin 26 on EGS needs power FROM DME? that means dme pin 65 POWERS up the EGS according to what you are saying, and if you have no egs, just leave it off

Sorry, wrote that backwards. DME should need 12v at pin #65...right?

Really stupid question:

I got a "OBD1 E36 engine harness" from my buddy and of course the 413 red label DME...do I need to re-pin the x6000 DME connector on the harness to match the VIN on the DME? Between the 1992, 1994, and 1995 M/S50 ETM's, all the DME x6000 connectors have different pins.

You shouldn't have to. I know the ETMs are all different and confusing. Try using a multimeter and trace your DME pins to see what version you should be referring to and go from there

Yea I went through pin by pin and verified each connector. Cleaning up everything one last time now...
