Was bored - made an intake support bracket

Just worked some on the E30 I built my mother given it was her birthday. I decided to make a bracket to support the intake filter/maf vs the janky temporary wire tie action I had been using to keep the filter off the alternator pulley.

It's made of 1/2" stainless rod. The bracket "plate" is also 304L - no rust!

sexy! I'd still paint it just to be safe around the weld zones.

I might powder coat it wrinkle red to match the underhood theme, but I like the rawness - Its 304L like my exhaust so I can't see it rusting. No overheated areas.

Make a heat shield/air box and vent it by opening up the grills around the headlight?

Nah - this is just a slow 325E. No speed needed!

Did I read that you built this car for your mom?!

Sent from the future. Or my phone, who knows.
