Actually, it's even better since you'll need the larger iX/m3 style master cylinder.
that sounds like a lot more work than a 944 booster...

P-Car guys (especially those into the old ones) will be chomping at the bit to get rid of the surplus parts they have. :D
The way I can summarize the pedal feel with the 944 is that "it just feels right." When I get in the car, I don't think about stopping and that's how it should be. For reference, I'm using the 944 booster with a non-abs 325e master cylinder & factory brakes. I paid $15 for the booster at my local "you-pull-it" junkyard.

Probably is, but I just like it the best. I did the swap to a late model car with only two brake lines going from the master, which the E32 master (same as ix or M3) facilitates. From what I saw, a Porsche booster can only use a non abs E30 master and then I'd need to mess with brake lines, which I hate doing.

In short, although it took 15 minutes more work than the large shaft Porsche booster, I like the way it fits and performs a lot.

              :(

In all honesty, while I don't *love* the revshift mounts, they do work. I am running the iX booster mounted directly the firewall (no spacer) and had to shave a minimal amount off the intake. My motor is not spaced up in any way.

I'm glad I got a chance to try these out and make my own conclusion and only cost me $50+ shipping to realize they didn't meet my criteria.

IMO for optimal comfort/DD use the e28 mounts and the e36 trans mounts.

yeah I was under the assumption that the revshifts would fit in there better than the e28 mounts.. thats the only reason I got them.. I figured a "swap" mount would fit better than a mount made for the swap.. oops i should have asked them before i bought them

It's unfortunate that their product doesn't stand up to the motor lol
Are they separating on you guys?

The blue ones? Yea those are the ones I sold to Gooch, and for the record I payed a $100, sold them to gooch for like $50+ shipping IIRC. So I only LOST $50 to learn the hard lesson.

They don't work on ix/e34/e32 boosters ( have heard if you remove spacer they do, but never confirmed personally) only on e21. And the e21 booster has terrible pedal feel IMO.

AFAIK they DO have separation issues, but I never ran them in the car, I realized how idiotic it was during mock up.

I think it all boils down to what kind of driving experiance do you want from your swap car.

Do want it to feel like a swap car all awkward and unruly.
Or do you want a seamlessly integrated powerplant that is a comfortable DD.

Me. I like my quiet, dampened, power steering equipped, dual mass flywheel, ix assist brakes experience.

I don;t want to feel like I'm driving a project car or something poorly thought out.

I am no expert, and there are PLENTY of folks that have done more swaps than I. This is simply my impressions from the swaps I have done and the lessons I learned in my garage, not from a post on R3V/Bf.c

Hey guys, Look...I have installed my revshift poly's bout 2 months ago, and I have to say, they work really well, I have no idea what you guys were talking about being to harsh, it's perfect IMo, it fits in perfectly, and if feels solid, robust. That's exatcly what I was lookin for. The only thing I noticed that can be of some pain, is when you keep into 3rd gear for a longer period of time, you feel a slight vibration noise (just noise) from the engine or frame, not sure yet, but again, my clutch is not in it's top shape, so could be the clutch. I like the revs. thats my opinion on the subject thou.

I have the E34 V8 booster. No 24v motor, still M20, I just like the way the V8 booster feels that much. V8 booster + r comps + track pads = one scared passenger :D. It is awesome.
