    M50nv won't start (no fuel)

So I drove my car down to Florida from North Carolina the other night.

It rained over night and when I went to start my car the next morning it wouldn't fire up, it would only turn over.

I didn't hear the fuel pump priming.

The relays were clicking randomly, even when the ignition was off and the MAF was hot.

Long story short I found A LOT of water in my glove box. My ecu was partially in the water.

So I drained the water and sprayed every electrical connection I could get to with electronic cleaner.

I put the ecu in a ziplock full of rice over night to try to dry out any moisture that was left.

So the next morning I tried the newly dried ecu out and I still wasn't getting fuel.

The relays seemed to be back under control though. I'm showing 12v on two of the plugs for each of the relays.

Fast forward to this afternoon. I bought a ecu and relays from the junkyard, pulled all of the old stuff off and put them in.

    ...Still nothing.

Still no power to the fuel pump.

I'm running out of ideas and I'm getting worried about the drive back to North Carolina this weekend.

Can anybody think of anything I haven't? Could I have fried something else?

    I appreciate your help

Does the fuel pump come on if you jump the relay?

check the main/dme/o2 relays, make sure they're in the right order... then test your CPS and make sure it alternates between open and closed as it hits the trigger on the crank pulley, then, try the fuel pump relay jump.

Smack the top of the fuel pump cover when you crank it.

If your fuel pump is running did you try the e34 method of resetting EWS?

EDIT: I should probably mention what that method is for those unfamiliar.
disconnect negative battery lead, wait ten minutes, put key in ignition to ON position, put negative lead back on negative terminal.

This was my issue after my e34 M50NV battery died and a day later I replaced it, it wouldn't start but would crank over. It took me forever to find the info online about this but as it turned out the ECUs ignition security wouldn't actually send fuel (iirc) through injectors until it was reset this way.

              eeek! Sorry to hear austin

Jump the pump and see if it runs. I hope no wiring got fried. Youve already had some fun there :(!
