Starting my m50 swap... Help please?

So i am buying my self a 1992 e36 325is parts car very soon. I have a 1987 325is i am wanting to swap the M50B25 into. I have done alot of research... But it seems as if they contradict each other. SO i have a few main question about the swap/ motor and i appreciate all the help! thanks.

    1. Am i able to use the Getrag 260 i currently have in my car without modification? ( I am really hoping this is the case)

    2. Am i able to use my motor and tranny mounts i have now?

    3. I am aware that the e34 oil pan is needed, but do i need the sump and tube as well?

    4. I know the brake booster needs swapping, (or modding heavily) and ive seen people use e21 brake boosters, but are those boosters crap? is there another booster i could use?

    5. Do wiring adapters such as this, http://www.harrisonmotorsports.com/w...-e30-swap.html make it to where all i do is plug it up and the wiring is done? ( i am also aware i will need the e36 ecu and engine wiring harness)

    Now onto some engine questions.
    1. Will the e36 flywheel bolt right up? and can i use my 325is clutch or will i need to get a m3 clutch or a Performance one?
    2. Will M3 headers work on my car?
    3. I am looking to do a full tune up to the motor before it goes in (obviously) and I were to take the head off, and get a nice polish and port, would it be a good thing to do? (im also going to get APR head studs and a "performance" head gasket) because after the swap i am wanting to save for boost.

Thanks alot everyone, all of this will really help me out. As i said these are just questions I've had after doing research. Im sure The people of R3vl will be able to shine some light on these areas.:D

#1 Need modified selector rod and transmission brace

#2 No, you use E28 engine mounts, and E21 trans

    #3 You need it all

#4 E21 booster works fine for me but others use 944 (heard its similar to E21) 325ix has better boost but requires remote reservoir

    #5 Yes

#1 Use M20 starter and flywheel/clutch kit if using G260 (believe flywheel has to be machined)

#2 OBD2 require sealing extra hole

Thanks you so much man. What do i need to do to the selector rod and Transmission brace?

Also, the flywheel has to be machined when using it on a m50? what exactly do i need to do to it?

do a little searching first before asking. All these questions have been answered many times.

I'll give you a freebie on the flywheel question. Have the motor side of the flywheel machined to 1/8" above the ring gear. This will lighten the flywheel and provide the necessary oil pan clearance.

selector rod needs to be cut and re welded 10 degrees to center the shifter, trand mount needs to be modified 10 degrees, best bet is buy a modified one from members on here, they charge like $75-100

the g260 flywheel absolutly needs to be machined atleast 3mm on the backside as it will hit the e34 oil pan

Bumping this thread to ask a question.
Does anyone (company or private owner) Sell modified selector rods already?

Ive done some research, and haven't been so lucky. thanks in advance.
