    Dme's

Noob question. What's the difference between the silver label and red label 413's?
If I have a swapped m50b25tu from a 5series, will a dme from an m3 work in my car? and will it give a better performance than a regular 413 chipped?

Silver label has EWS security system which won't let the car start without a signal from the key. You need a red label 413 which is the same dme but with a chip that doesn't have EWS. The only difference between the 2 is the chip.

ECUs are the same, The difference is in the chip program. Same goes for the one that ends in digits 506, it is same for the exception of the program in the chip that you can swap

^ theyre right. Its pretty easy to get an EWS dme reflashed to eliminate the EWS security system. Pretty sure you can send it to a few forum members or local shops, depending on your area.
