    Motor mounts

Just noticed this place sells 24V-swap specific motor mounts.

The page you're looking for does not exist. Please visit our home page or locations page for more information.

Have anyone used these? They are cheaper than AKG's and are made of rubber. I'm wondering how well they fit.

Those look to be stock e28 b35 mounts. About the same price from dealer.

PN 11811175735 About $18 each, that price is a big rip-off.

Here is the part number for the covers if you want those too and don't want to pay an extra 48%.

A: Glad some people are finding my site.
B: Yes youre correct with the part number for the mounts, I always assume they can be found cheaper else where as online only distributors (ECS for ex.) can always sell stuff cheap as hell... Theyre charging less than I pay for the harness covers? :loco: Their engine mounts are 40$ a piece however haha.
C: For all those people looking to save 5$ here and there by hunting all over the place for the best deal, I bet youll find it somewhere. People typically get stuff from me to get everything all in one place and have it know it works and will be the right stuff.

I'll tell you one thing, ECS is definitely not the cheapest. Their shipping is ridiculous.

I bought e28 engine mounts to replace my AKG Polys and it was like 54 dollars shipped to my house.

                Here is the link

You do not want upgraded motor mounts because you WILL feel the engine. bro.

The web said they were "a direct bolt in" so I thought they were not the E28 mounts. In that case, I'd stick with the AKG which I already have. I was just looking for rubber mounts because poly is a bit too harsh for me in my daily driver.

Be careful when buying from Ebay. I had a pair of Ebay E28 mounts before and they failed in 2 years before I replaced with the AKG.

My e28 b35 mounts were a direct bolt on. No mods required to fit.

The ECS mounts are OEM BMW and probably nicer then the aftermarket mount. Are yours OEM BMW mounts?

I recently ordered revshift polys, now I hear a bunch of people complaining on harshness for DD. I ordered the 80A compound they say Street soft. I haven't heard anyone saying anything about that one. Does anyone know of it's performance? otherwise I'll have to order e28's

The E28 mounts need to be turned around to fit and yet the angles aren't still quite right. Luckily the angles aren't too great so we hope that the rubber will flex allowing the engine to sit firmly on the mounts. I don't really call this a direct bolt on. It's more like a hack job to me.

                            Agreed.

The complexity of the engineering behind something as important as a motor mount is beyond most peoples comprehension.

This will be your future if you rock the cheap mounts.

It is more expensive at the beginning to go with the aftermarket mounts, but it will save you lots of money in the long run. This particular failure ruined a 300 dollar all aluminum Mishimoto radiator.
                            My previous build (currently E30-less)

^ How much were yours shimmed (i see the washer on the sheered one). Again ive been running the 'Black' mounts in my drift car and hundreds of customer cars and never had an issue, granted i never ever shim them and install the right (or wrong depending on how you look at it) way.
And the ones on my site are not OEM BMW. Ive seen no difference between the OEs and the ones i sell.

The ones in my drift car have 10K miles of this:

Notice how (little) the motor moves (7400 Rev Limiter as well)

Oh and ninja edit: I cant really comment on the R3vshift mounts as ive never used them or installed them. It is kinda weird that they still require you to use the wrong (or right ;)) hole in the subframe for the nut (kinda annoying). Im a vendor for AKG and their mounts dont require this and install great other than a little more NVH (which is expected of a poly mount)
