no fuel, no start - need help with diag - M52 E30

ok. i need help with some diag of why my car will not start suddenly.

    backstory:
i pulled my car into the garage 2 days ago to clean the IAC due to a slightly high idle. i proceeded to clean the IAC and replace the hose that is connected to the intake, as it was a bit squishy. put it all back together, go to start it and...

car will not start. turns over great, but will not start. IAC buzzes like it should with key in run. also have code 1281 - DME incorrect voltage.

car is a 1988 325 e - swapped with a 99 M52 using an E34 engine harness and a red label 413 DME with a racers mart chip. the engine harness is joined to the body harness with what appears to be a treehouse connector.

i have checked all connections, sensors, fuses, relays, etc. battery is fully charged, as i threw it on a charger overnight (plus it's a yellow top optima that is only 4 mos old). 12.8 volts static.

i am not having my fuel pump relay and O2 heater relay turn on at all. i can ground out the fuel pump and the pump will run, but no start. same with the O2 heater relay. main relay is clicking, but it appears that the DME is not grounding the other relays at all.

i went through the DME pins with the DME unplugged and with key off and key on.

    i have power at pins:
26, 27, 50, 51, 52, 56 (ign switch) - note no power at pin 54 (battery voltage from main relay)

    i have ground at pins:
    6, 14, 15, 23, 24, 25, 28, 34, 40, 50, 51, 52, 55, 56, 88 - note no ground at pin 45 (shield ignition)

so, just of it is i have no battery voltage from the main relay at pin 54, and i have no ground at pin 45...

i am absolutely stumped on this one. i really need to get the car back on the road asap...

thanks for the help and suggestions. thanks.

Remove any grounds when you went in there? Unplug the CPS? The main relay is closing but the fuel pump relay isn't responding?

This guy cares because from the diag you've found another way to get to the problems with no start. From the many things it can usually be this helps fairly quick how to find that was the issue. For what it's worth, thanks. Glad it wasn't a stump for too long.
