A new episode of: Guess that plug!

    Hey guys,

Can anyone identify this plug that is sprouting off my e30 wiring harness? It comes off a 1990 325i auto touring originally from Japan (euro spec). Just want to make sure nothing major is missed in the re-wiring of the s50 harness. Its a 12 pin rectangular plug that is close to the ECU plug in.

A tad off-putting that no one has seen this before! Haha. Anyone?

It looks exactly like the early model 318 body to engine harness plug

Well then. Why the hell is that on a late model 325i harness? Haha

Looks like a plug used for the Idle control unit. If youre S50 swapping you wont need it.

              Cheers!

Why would the idle control unit be next to the ecu?

Possibly a control module plug for some uncommon option.. like adjustable headlights etc?

Well regardless of what it is I think the conclusion of the thread is that its probably not necessary.

Thanks for all the input guys.

The car does have the adjustable headlights option.
