    Not quite a swap question..

    ..but rather transporting a swap.

I thought I had seen someone do this before, but is it possible to fit a m52 into an e30's trunk? I found the thread where someone put m20 in passenger seat which would be easier. However, I don't really have room to get the engine in the passenger seat without going down my sloped driveway and I'd like to avoid that.

Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated as I'll be moving within a months time. And if it will help I'll snap a picture of said driveway and shitty working space in garage to give a better idea of what I have to work with.

If you pulled off some stuff sure. I fit a ZF320 in the trunk of my 97 Z3 1.9l, and the trunk shut fine.

A bare block might fit. That's it without head, oil pan, mounting arms, hoses, ancillaries, etc. And lay it down sideways too.

I know someone who has done this. His name, wh33lhop. IIRC he has a penchant for inexpensive booze and even cheaper women.
